Here is a picture of Tica  at 5yrs old and Serria at 3 yr old
Serria  has more of the German shepherd build . Both
are Northern Shiloh German shepherd/ Malamute
German Shepherds x Alaskan Malamute (Northern Shiloh). The goal is to produce a larger,
sounder dog with  beauty and intelligence . Some mistakenly believe a Shiloh Shepherd is simply
a large German Shepherd Dog. Shiloh's are not giant German Shepherds but a separate rare
breed. Shiloh Shepherds are known for their gentle and loyal temperament who live up to their
name of being "gentle giants" with children and other pets but have been over breed. My
founding stock was shepherds crossed with a Alaskan malamute but emphasized on the German
shepherd look and build.
At Stone House Ranch I am leaning more on the malamute side, but
the effects are the same, a large sound dog that is clam, very loyal that also grows a  thick
beautiful coat in the winter. I am not breeding (Shiloh shepherds) but developing my own breed
of Northern Shilohs.

                             Breeders Why ?

                           We as Breeders Say:

We've sat the whole night through, waiting for babies to be born,
Felt the stress and trepidation when they're still not there by dawn.
We've often felt the heartache, of a little life in our hands,a darling
little baby,   who weighs less than a pound.
We've asked: Should I do that instead of this ....Or this instead of that,
Alone we've fought, and hoped one day, he'll grow to be a dog,
and bring joy to another being, and make a house a home,
We know it's all just up to us, we'll fight this fight alone.
Formula, bottles, heating pads, we've got to get this right,
Two hourly feeds for this tiny guy, throughout the day and night.
In our heart we often know, we're almost sure to lose the fight,
to save this little baby, but God willing ... We just MIGHT.

Day one he's in there fighting, we say a silent prayer,

Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.

Day four & five ... He's still alive, our hopes soar to the heavens,

Day six he slips away again, dies in our hands day seven.

We take this little angel, and bury him alone,

With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,

We ask ourselves  "Why do this? ...  Why suffer all this pain?"
But seeing the joy our puppies  bring... It really self explains.
So, when you think of breeders and label them with "greed",
Think about what we endure to fill another's need.
When you buy a puppy and with your precious dollars part,
You only pay with money ... We pay with our heart.

German shepherds. Sam is 150 pounds and is a old world long
haired shepherd.
Izzy is 90 pounds and is imported from Yulia fish a world class
dog breeder in Europe. Izzy is a solid black long haired German
This an act of nature I do not believe in controlled
or forced breeding. I see when they are in heat if
the female accepts the male I have puppies 67
days later if she didn't. We have to wait.  Just
know they are worth the wait.
